Our mission with Children of Belize Toy Drive:
Our mission with Children of Belize Toy Drive is to bring a smile to a child’s face; to brighten the spirit of families in San Pedro Town, Belize this Christmas season. We strive to lighten the load of each parent by providing them with one less expense.
Acceptable Donations:
An acceptable donation is a new, boxed and unwrapped toy. Please find an example of some of the toys you can purchase to donate. To donate, please contact us
Where is Belize?
Belize is a nation located in Central America. It is made up of a small population of about 400,000. It is ethnically diverse, full of color, and rich in culture. The Land of the Free as we know it, is a beautiful Jewel that in the recent years has been seeing a surge in visitors, making tourism, the number one contributor to the economy.
Currently, the COVID-19 pandemic has completely shattered the tourism industry. In early March, thousands were faced with unemployment as majority of businesses that relied on the tourism industry were forced to shut down. COVID-19 has paralyzed the country, as Belize has had to close its borders and international airport. One of the places that has been hit the hardest has been my beautiful hometown, San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye.
Our 2020 'start & end' dates:
Children of Belize Toy Drive starts September 1, 2020 and concludes on October 15th, 2020. We are beginning as early as September and ending our last pick up day on October 15th because all the toys will be sent to Belize from Virgina, USA. It may take a couple weeks for the Toys to arrive in Belize. Therefore, we wanted to give enough time between the travel time and the time for our Partners in Belize to receive the Toys and deliver them to our families in need.
Once all toys have arrived in Belize, we will update you on how the toys will be distributed to the families by our partners, LC Distributors in San Pedro, Belize.
Where to drop-off?
Please email us at scarleth@spinyourownaxis.com to notify us of your interest in donating to the toy drive. We will forward you the address to drop off your donation and/or if you are located in the Northern Virginia, District of Colombia, & Maryland area we can pick up.
We are working with local partners to secure other physical locations where you can drop off your donation at a business near you. This information will be updated soon.
Live in another state:
If you live in another state not convenient for drop-off or pick up. We encourage you to buy your donation through the following stores and contact us for our shipping address.
