The Power of: Prayer, Heartwork, Speaking things into existence: Becoming a Grad Research Assistant.

"...when we begin to focus our energy towards constructing a passionate, meaningful life, we are tossing a pebble into the world, creating a beautiful ripple effect of inspiration.

...when one person follows a dream, tries something new or takes a daring leap, everyone nearby feels that energy, and before too long they are making their own daring leaps and inspiring yet another circle".

How powerful is that statement? To me it's as powerful as prayer, working hard, and speaking things into existence.

I have been holding on to this very special moment, a new opportunity, a new role in my life for a long time and I feel so deeply ignited to share it with you.

My goal with this post, is exactly that: my hope of tossing a pebble into the world and creating a beautiful rippling effect of inspiration with my testimony of how powerful prayer, working hard, and speaking things into existence play a huge role in our lives.

Changing career paths isn't a new topic of discussion, but perhaps how I have been handling this transition is.

These past few years, I have dedicated myself to working towards a passion of mine and that is preparing myself academically to become a nutrition and fitness professional.

& every semester comes with challenges that lead to experiences and turn into lessons and in this case a new role and a new opportunity as a Graduate Research Assistant at George Mason University! I couldn’t be any happier!!! I finally feel like every decision, tear, setback, long days and challenges are paying off.

This opportunity is more than the accomplishment or the title. It fills me with so much gratitude and strengthens my faith in GOD, reassures me that “heart” work, believing in yourself and the power of speaking positive things into existence is real and powerful.

It is a platform for me to learn, the beginning of my career path and the ability to help add a little grain of change.

My journey of life has taught me that if you have a passion, a yearning so deep down in your soul--you gotta chase it. How do we chase it?

Chasing a passion is a process like anything else. It really is taking small steps in the right direction.

It’s building our faith, putting in the hard work even when no one is watching, it’s changing our thoughts and speaking positive affirmations into existence. It’s building tenacity, resilience, patience, and persistence even after a hundred NO’s.

I feel very fortunate to have so many leading examples and a support system in my life that shower me with guidance and love. Thank you!! You all inspire me to PAY it FORWARD!

Of all the thank you’s I have, the BIGGEST thank you’s are for my husband @alcastro11 and my mother @fdelgado_73 who are and have been my everything in life, whose unconditional and pure love propel me to new heights. I love you SO much, babe!! La amo Mami!!
